Instructions For Use

Mechanical Movements

The mechanical movement housed by your Piaget watch was entirely developed and crafted within the Manufacture Piaget. Each part has been hand-assembled by a master watchmaker and carefully tested to guarantee the precision and optimal reliability of the movement.

Characteristics:
- Mechanical: manually wound or self-winding
- Frequency: 21,600 vph
- Power reserve: 40 hours

Finishes:
- Circular "Côtes de Genève"
- Circular-grained plate
- Bevelled and drawn bridges
- Blued screws

Winding the movement

Winding the movement
For manually wound watches:
Proceed to wind the watch with the crown in position 0, turning it forwards until it locks (corresponding to approx. 40 hours of autonomy).

For self-winding watches:
Winding is carried out by the movements of the wrist when the watch is worn. If the watch has not been worn for around 40 hours, wind it by hand with the crown in position 0 (around 10 turns of the crown are enough to restart the mechanism).

Power-reserve indicator:
Some models are equipped with a power-reserve indicator on the dial. It indicates the number of hours for which your watch will continue to run without being rewound (for manually wound movements) or without being worn (for self-winding movements).

Watch without calendar

Setting the time:
Pull the crown out to position 1 and turn it forwards or backwards to position the hands. For precise time-setting, make sure the last turn is in a clockwise direction.

Ensure that the crown is always pushed back into position 0 after each adjustment.

Adjusting the date:

Water resistance

Water resistance
Apart from certain high jewellery models and historical watch models, all Piaget watches are water-resistant for up to 30 metres.

The water resistance of a watch protects its interior from any risk of deterioration due to infiltration of dust or immersion in water. Piaget guarantees the water resistance of its water-resistant watches for a two-year period as of the date of purchase, subject to guarantee exclusions.

High jewellery models and historical watches that are not water-resistant are nonetheless resistant to running water and dust.

Tips on caring for your watch

Tips on caring for your watch
In order to maintain the radiance of your watch and metal bracelet (if it has one), we recommend that you clean it regularly using a soft brush and slightly soapy water.

After this operation or any dip in seawater, it must be rinsed under running water and dried using a non-abrasive cloth. You may also use the "Piaget cleaning kit" specially designed for this purpose.

We also advise that you have the water resistance of your watch checked every two years by an authorised Piaget dealer.
