Both sober and elegant, the Altiplano collection highlights Piaget's excellence in the field of ultra-thin watches. Awarded a prize in the ultra-thin category at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in 2003, this square-shaped model now reveals a new face with a carefully designed black dial, on which the hands and baton hour markers contrast with great finesse. The contemporary elegance of this creation in white gold is extended to the alligator bracelet with black lining for even greater refinement The watch is driven by the Manufacture's ultra-thin, hand-wound 430P movement, signalling the second chapter in Piaget ultra-thin calibres.

A direct descendant of the legendary 9P movement, the 430P is an ultra-thin hand-wound mechanical movement, measuring only 2.1 mm thick. It offers numerous possibilities in terms of variations and it served as the model for the 600P, the world's thinnest tourbillon movement.
Simple, sturdy and ultra-thin, the movement features central hour and minute functions. It perfectly exemplifies the attention Piaget accords to its finishes, with the traditional circular Côtes de Genève, circular-grained mainplate, bevelled bridges and blued screws.
